Ok, so im thinking of getting an iphone, unlocking it and having it on TMO..

what would be the internet package i would get? will the internet work?
im assuming my bb data plan is not the correct one..

THe unlimited plan is $40....with unlimited SMS

Be warned, you cant send or recieve MMS messages. To view pics that are emailed to you, youhave to log into your email account on the safari internet and then view it from there....it wont go to the message box where the emails go.

Be warned----unlocking voids the warranty

There is a hack on the Installer app and HOFO that will allow you to use the $5.99 data plan with an iPhone on TMOBILE.

Also, the BlackBerry data plan works as well.

As far as sending MMS messages, go to Installer and find the Iphone MMS application and install it.

It won't allow you to receive, but it will allow you to send.

Also, this is not the case. Pictures that are emailed to you are able to be viewed in the mail application. You don't have to log in via safari.

i have an iphone and i use it for tmobile, there is an app called apptap or something that you are required to install when unlocking the phone, in that app you are able to download other apps, and amongst those apps there is a program called swirlyMMS which allows the iphone to send and receive MMS. Also version 1.1.3 is coming out so you wont need swirlyMMS anymore because 1.1.3 firmware fixes that

I'm holding on gettin the iPhone as it seems that the iPhone 2 is coming out in a couple months... And also the 89xx/9xxx ....
But either way, I will still need to unlock it so thanx for all the help... (wap.rabroad.com)~

I have a coworker who has hacked/unlock iphone for TMO and she is able to just pay for voice plan and already has the internet access which she does not pay for. Obviously she got her phone from those "authorized" dealers.

Bad side is she paid almost full price and is not covered under any warranty.

I " had " an iphone on T-Mo for 3 months...but I missed my blackberry WAY TOO MUCH!!!!! I had the $19.99 unlimited Data plan, and the $4.99 SMS ( 400 ) with 2000 minutes. The iPhone is WAY to buggy, and you have to be so careful not to accidently update it...it's just not worth it.

Keep in mind.. with routine updates you also might get the "You hacked our phone and now its a paperweight update from Apple" So do so at your own risk.
