IPHONE HATERS+LOVERS: What does it need to be perfect?

i think the iphone is a SICK device in so many ways.

- touch screen interface
- true browser (the scrolling is so effortless and nice)
- beautiful design
- ipod + cell = amazing
- email access


things its lacking (and these would make it perfect for me)

- ichat
- calendar sync
- push emailing
- 3G
- better battery (impossible i know)
- expandable memory
- better headphone jack (cant use my mdr7506s in that mofo )



anyone else wanna weigh in?
 
maybe I havent played with it enough but apparently you cant send or recieve pics from phone to phone. have to use the web or email
 
- I have three different chat client options on my iPhone
- I sync my calendar to iCal, Google Calendar AND my office Lotus Notes calendar now.
- Email auto checks every 30 minutes or whenever you open your email client, how tethered to your email do you need to be?
- EDGE and WiFi are MORE than adequate for anything other than hardcore web use, and for that there are these things called laptops.
- My battery lasts three days with normal web/email/audio use.
- How is 8Gb NOT enough??? I've currently got 50 audio CDs, two movies and 35 video podcasts on it and I still have 2Gb free.
- Ever heard of an adapter?


Sounds like sour grapes from someone that doesn't know how to use the device to me.
 
I like my iphone but have to agree with the OP on some things

1.) Built in iChat would be nice, not some web based chat
2.) Please teah us oh wise one
3.) Push email, the minute it hits I want it on the phone
4.) Would have to agree
5.) I get about a day, so I guess you either got a super iPhone or I got a crappy one
6.) I made a mistake and got the 4GB but still enough for what I need. Though I wish I had got the 8GB now
 
Throw in basic texting, more providers (AT&T sucks here), $400 off the price tag, and some how the screen to not be dirty after using it for 20 seconds. Oh and a keyboard w/ real buttons, a user serviceable battery, and thats all i can think of currently.
 
well i thought it would be cool in OTHER peoples cars [friends etc], where if you wanted to show everyone a dope new mp3 on your iphone you could just be like 'yo turn to chan 93.5' and then bump that shit!
 
That email will replace MMS as a free solution to sending pictures
Once every phone can receive emails why pay for MMS messages, of course wireless carriers are going to hate that
 
- online chat client doesnt count, i want built in AIM and so does everyone else
- i heard you could not sync calendar's, guess i was wrong
- every 30 min is lame, gotta have that shit on there whenever i look at it
- 3g>>>>EDGE, the iphone needs edge
- 3 days with normal webuse, email, and mp3? no chance, if you use the browser for say 1-2 hours a day, listen to mp3s 1-2 hours, there is no chance you get 3 days
- i have 21gb of music and everyone i know has 8+gb, thats why 8gb isnt enough
- so i buy an MP3player/cell and have to go PURCHASE an adapter to listen to my music with my studio headphones? FUCKING WEAK

3G, push and opening up the OS would make me happy

Although in the end if I'm looking at paying $200 for a treo 750 vs. $400 for an iPhone (assuming I have to sign a 2yr contract either way)...the iPhone doesn't have a chance.
 
Just to add my two cents on the battery. Maybe I also got a good battery because I will listen to music/podcast, watch TV shows, or surf the web for eight hours while at work each night and I can go two days with ease.
 
You fucking bitched and moaned in every iPhone thread leading up to it's release.... even going so far that you wished it would fail, and now you fucking OWN ONE? What the fuck is wrong with you?

EDIT: reading over your posts again I can't tell 100% if you own one, but regardless you're description and saying "it is a SICK device" leads me to believe you're a giant faggot for hating on the thing so hard.
 
I hear the iphone has reception problems due to the antenna being located at the bottom of the phone instead of the top. Can someone elaborate? Ive been reading complaints that it goes from 5 bars to no service in normally good areas.
