Iphone Facebook chat not working?

"I got my Iphone (3G) a couple of months ago and been using Facebook chat. All of a sudden I can see who is online but they can't see me. When I text them, they see the text and show them I am offline. I have update the iphone and reinstall facebook. It still shows I am offline when I can see the others. Any idea why this is happeneing? Thanks you"
