So far I've gotten all 3 iphones, and every time I went in to buy a new one I was still under my old contract. I haven't purchased a warranty on any of them, but whenever I go into apple to get a new one the dude always has to lookup my account and make sure i'm "eligible" for an upgrade. They make a big fuss about it, and it takes him around 5-10 minutes to look up my account and ask me stupid security questions and by the end of it I feel like he should be informing me on whether or not i've been accepted to Harvard! I don't know why it bothers me, I've never been denied a new phone, but im just wondering if there is some sort of time period where you don't qualify for an upgrade? It doesn't make any sense to me why they wouldn't let you upgrade phones whenever you want, they get more money for the new phone and it also restarts my 2 year contract. Sorta sounds like a win-win to me. Anyone work for AT&T or apple, or any other phone company that could shed some light on the situation?
