iPhone 5 for sprint? I'm confused!?

So, sprint is getting the iPhone. I am confused on the dates of the releases however. I know there is going to be an iPhone 4S, and iPhone 5. I want to get an iphone ASAP, but I dont want to get the iPhone 4S this month only for the iPhone 5 to come out 2 months later. Does anybody know what is going to happen? Should I just get the iPhone 4S when it comes out?
