Iphone 4 with Vodafone?

Hi, I recently got Iphone 4 contracted with Vodafone. On the first day I noticed that the microphone wasn't working at all. I had to call vodafone about 3 times and try all different procedures which didn't help. I finally had to take it to Vodafone store. They said they will have a look at it and it will take about 2 weeks and let me know what their decision will be !!!! My question is that am I entitled to get a new phone since it was a factory fault and I returned it only ONE day after I recieved it ?

I mean I spend the whole day talking to customer service and another two hours waiting in line at the Vodafone store and all they had to say is we will have a look at it ???? Not to mention the money i'm loosing while this issue is getting resolved. BTW I had to find another phone. I found out the hard way that last thing you want to happen when your phone is wrecked is to be with Vodafone. similar thing happened with my old phone and they never repaired it since the phone got wrecked on the last day of my warranty. Long story but yea absolutely useless result.

BTW does anyone know what the cause of the microphone fault could be? when I made a call, all the other person could hear is a buzzy noise.
