Alright, so here is my question. I have an LG VU (with AT&T) part of a family plan. I have already contacted AT&T and the discounted price will not be available for me till July. If I buy the iPhone from a different source other than Apple or AT&T at whatever price (which is unimportant) will my line is still be extended for 2 years, if am pretty much buying without commitment. Another thing, can I use my Sim card now to use it on my newly purchased iPhone, or will I need a specific Sim card? Most certainly I will still have to pay the $18.00 for upgrade, and an additional $20 for the data plan (I have a data plan on my current phone). I am just wondering about the 2-year contract thing, because it does not make sense that my line will be extended for 2 years when I am not taking "Advantage of the discounted price from AT&T". Thanks.
