iphone 3gs erase all data

i select erase all data on iphone and then the iphone stopped on apple logo and restart several times.....what's up?
 
As far as I know when you do this procedure it can take quite some time (hours).

opps!!!

try hard reset.if not done

just restore with 4.0.1

now if your phone factory unlock no problem .but if not than u will need to wait for solution
 
if you never instal cydia on your device so you can do erase all data from the menu.
but if you have JB iphone and there is cydia inside so dont use this button.
unlase you can lose all your Information and you dont care to wait for JB for OS 4.0 3GS.

any iphone with cydia inside will make problem when you Press the erase button from the menu.
