I just got my iPhone 3GS replaced due to dropping signal, but now my replacement is doing it too. Every few minutes the "3G" or "E" will completely disappear, leaving a few bars plus the AT&T text. When this happens I get the "could not activate cellular data network, and the only way to fix it is to restart the phone. It's only been dropping data like this for the last two weeks. Could it be a bad sim card? Anywhere it drops data, normally is where I get at least 3 to 5 bars of 3G or edge.
