iPhone 3G - What's the full, regular price?

What I'm curious though, is that I want an iPhone. Obviously we don't have AT&T over here (in Dubai), and from what I read, the iPhone won't be launched in the market until early 2010. Yea I know.

Anyways, so only option is to unlock it. Question is, if I don't signup for their service contract, will the iPhone 3G still cost me $199?

You will have to buy it from a place other than AT&T.

Your best bet it to try and find one in a country that declares phone + contract bundling illegal (Belgium -- but that might be overturned soon).

you cannot buy the phone without activating it first. they are making you activate the phone in store before you can buy the phone. This is a direct result of their little 199 deal. Sorry thief, you must switch to att

there probably wont be a "regular price" in the US remember they have a deal with att.
