Iphone 3g unlocked for t mobile?

hi i have t mobile and have seen on ebay they are selling unlocked/jailbroken iphone 3g's that will work with t mobile? i already have unlimited texting and i dont use the internet on my phone, just call text music, would there be any common problems i would run into if i were to get one? thanks
