Alright, I've searched everywhere on the internet. Yes.... EVERYWHERE!!! I'm trying to restore my friend's jailbroken iPhone. (I used Redsn0w, if that helps) The iPhone is in Recovery mode, like the iTunes logo and the arrow and everything. So I plug it into my computer (which is Windows 7, if that helps) and iTunes says that it detects the iPhone in recovery mode and must be restored. So I do that and it works up to about 99% installed on iTunes on my pc, but only 60% on the iPhone. I've tried about 6,000 times and left it on for an hour, doesn't move at all. I've tried different firmware, same problem. Can anyone please help cause my friend's bugging me about it. Thanks! And I don't want any crap about how I never should have done it in the first place. Yes, I get it. I just need help.
Yeah Elmo, I did that. It's still the same problem. I'm out of options unless you can help.
NY Inc, how do I do that?

try a dfu restore...

1.turn off the phone
2. hold the top button for 3 seconds
3. without letting go of the top button, hold the home button for 10 seconds
4. let go of the top button but keep holding the home button for another 15 seconds...

then when itunes asks you to restore, hold the shift button and press restore...then select the firmware that you need to use, but make sure it is firmware specific to the iphone 3g...then restore it...then come back and tell me if it works

EDIT: Okay, what kind of firmware are you trying to use on it? And what version of iTunes are you using? Maybe try to re-install iTunes... then come back and tell me what happened
