ipad questions, not fully answered by the Apple Blurb?

I am buying Maw an ipad for her Chrissy Gizzit, but I am a bit confused. So here is a list of those confusions.

1. Can it download direct from the ISP?
2. Can I download my MP3 library from my Windows Lappy?
3. Can the thing be used with a mouse?

Are they any good?

I ask here, because you lot do not mince words.
