iPad, iPod Question need an optimistic answer?

Ok so I have an iPod 4g I've had it since Christmas 2010 I got it while visiting my dad in the u.s. Well back in Panama where I currently live with my mother, my little brother recently broke my iPod screen I can still use it tho it's just a big crack in the upper right corner I can still FaceTime and use the cams but anyway she received a loan she used it to pay all her bills and after that got a little extra she told me she was going to buy me an iPad with the extra money for an early Christmas gift well now I have my iPad I really enjoy having it but it seems to be very similar to the iPod 4G now im starting to think that I made her waste the money by buying me the iPad 2 I've been thinking of selling my iPod or I really don't know what to do I just don't want to feel I made her waste that money..... I will appreciate a cheeRful answer oh btw it's an iPad 2
