iOS4 v 3G OS 3.1.2

After upgraded 3G to iOS4 it works but slower (buggy) than of os 3.1.2 and some applications run sluggish and sometime does not exe, and return to home screen twice and third time iPhone restarts...

So please suggest should I downgrade back to OS 3.1.2 if so pls help, guide and steps...and now the Modem FW 05.13.04
