Hi,
I live in Japan where things like inversion tables have a way to go before they will become readily available. I imported mine from the USA, and used it on a regular basis. Sad to say the traction an inverted position offers did not result in any significant improvement. I still believe in them, however. I've seen several orthopedic physicians and every one of them had traction units designed for exactly what reversion tables do. The difference was that the patient reclines on a table in a horizontal position, and harnesses are applied to both the upper and lower portions of the body. Then, streeeeech. I like the inversion tables better. Too bad mine didn't work for me. I finally underwent a spinal fusion, and now I am really miserable. The surgery was done in good faith, but I - like the dozens upon dozens of failed fusion patients - have a back condition that has gotten worse instead of better.
Be advised Allan, DO NOT undergo a spinal fusion until things become so bad that no other alternative is available. Read some of the other blogs. What they have to say is true almost to the point of possibly ruling that spinal fusions are illegal surgical procedures.
. Anyway, nice chatting with you. Good luck. Mike
