Invalid Number

When I try to put in my mobile number to register at the site it says invalid number and for me to put it in the International Way. I am from the US and do not know how to put it in the International Way. Could someone please help me with this.

I am using a Sony Ericsson W580
 
International Way should be:

1-555-555-5555

Just enter 1+area code+city area prefix+suffix.

1 is the United States' Country Code.
 
Thanks a lot. That was the trick. When I try to put the number in the Play Arena website it says that the number is invalid. Is Play Now Arena available for the US?
