...way to discuss salary? My husband and I are having a sit down interview with a possible nanny for our daughter tomorrow over dinner at a restaurant. We have listed most of the questions we would like to ask her and have also arranged a background check.
So far we've listed:
-Previous training & qualifications
-Health & Safety (Does she know child CPR, etc)
-Previous jobs
-Daily basis plan (Activies, play time, scheduled naps, etc)
-Discipline practices
-And a few what would you do if this happened type questions.
(I.E. if our daughter fell and was hurt, if our daughter was acting out, if our daughter got sick during the day)
-What kind of benefits she's expecting

The only thing we're struggling to come up with, is a way to negotiate salary appropriately. My husband and I have a number in mind, and also a general maximum number that we would like to pay her. Do we tell her that and ask if that's enough, or ask her how much she's expecting?
This is our first time, so any additional advice is also welcome.
