I have gone for blood tests on two occasions, and both time the results have been abmormal and because of this and my symptoms, my doctor is concerned. I have a pretty substantial increase in my lymphocytes, but not an increase in the total white blood cell count. She said this is a little concerning and unusual. What could this mean?
Other symptoms:
Heat intolerance, including a rash and extreme succeptibility to heat exhaustion
Severe headaches
Joint pain, stiffness and swelling
I'm 20 years old. If the results continue, I am being sent for a hematologist consult. I already have a consult with a rheumatologist, and my doctor is playing around with an endocrinology consult. These symptoms seem minor, but they really mess me up. I cannot go out almost at all, because of the heat problems, the headaches are almost incapacitating, and the joint problems can be quite severe and disconcerting.
