Good Morning,

I currently have my T3 hooked up to my Samsung cell phone via a cable (see link below for a picture of what this entails).

Unfortunately, the shoutcast internet music that I can receive is very limited at the 16 bitrate. Anything above this (bitrate wise) causes "re-buffering" etc., over and over.

Now using the following (see link) called Softick PPP, I am sitting pretty and can get anything (simply because it uses my PC connection).

Is there any possible way to get a clearer or faster connection with my cable and cell phone method?

Cheers,

Syno

I'm suggesting, as I have absolutely no experience in this arena: Syno you didn't specify the network that your Samsung is connecting to nor the specific model but I'd bet this is more a limitation of that device/network then it is for the T3's 400mhz processor.

Most of the cables from the supplynet typically are stating no limitations of speed but then again most cellphones will only connect at something less than 120K and more typically 56K as a data only connection so this should still handle the bit rate but it will also be cellular network specific.

Now if you are running a true 3G network (ie Sprint or Verizon) and you don't have a 3G phone.....that Samsung might just be limited to that bit rate.

But again - I don't stream music in the method you do.....so don't necessarily belive me. As I stated - no experience in this arena. :)
