Internet Plan and IM services for bb curve

So im gonna get a blackberry soon in like 2 weeks and i wanna know about the internet plans and the IM services. I also want unlimted texting so what do i do? how much will it cost me and does it depend on your store provider or its the same for everyone?
 
There is a Blackberry Minutes and Mail Plan for 59.99. Which includes 1000 mins; unlimited data; unlimited SMS(no MMS)

Or you can go the other route
Voice plan 39.99 about 600 minute s
Data plan 19.99 unlimited
Message plan 9.99 think this is 1000 domestic (includes MMS)

na i have a fam plan and i just need the internet plan and unlimited texting and i wanna know how to get IM services for the blackberry curve
 
Yeah best thing is to get unlimited data & texting that way you can surf the web and check email without worry plus text as much as you want. My plan is:
MyFaves 1500 - $69.99
Ulmtd Data & Email - $19.99
Ulmtd Text - $14.99

But in this case choose whatever voice plan is good for your needs
 
there's plenty of apps out there for IMing.

JiveTalk is the best. $30 but it's worth every penny. I use it everyday. Get the $30 version so you can transfer it from device to device. the 20 you can't transfer. Some free ones and the OZ im client that is included sucks. It uses text and takes forever and crashes and logs out and you can only have a limited number of people on it. Just my opinion.

T-mobile's BBs come with OZ instant messaging which offers AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, and MSN they talk over your SMS and not data so use appropriately...jive talk seems to be the drink of choice around these parts so at least you know there will be plenty of people able to help you out with any problems you have...hope all this helps

If you'd rather not use OZ instant messaging you could just set up your IM from a PC so that it forwards all your messages to your mobile device. The messages it sends are standard text and allow you to reply to them...you don't even need to run the other program...up to you...
 
remember the unlimited text for family plans are unlimited for each phone. So if you have 4 phones, and a normal family plan, it will cost around $5.00 a line.
