Internet on iPod touch 4 and jailbreak?

I have the IPodtouch4 and so does my friend. She has 3G network I guess u can say cause she has wi fi everywhere but she says it hard to explain cause her mom did it for her so her mom told me there a code on the Internet box and when the security code ask for the pAssword u say the code. But that didn't work for me I think I did it wrong but idk where to look SHE DOES NOT Hve AN IPHONE but I'm not sure I'f hers is jailbroken some how cause she got it at a store so how cN I get it and don't say u can't cause she has it plus how do u get ur iPod 4 jailbroken good and bad ? Thankss
