I bought my Tupperware set from Singapore. On the bottom, it has a number in a circle like a clock with an arrow pointing to any number, supposedly to tell us what is the recycle number for that particular plastic type.
I've been reading abt the dangers of plastic products, especially number 3, 6 & 7 are not good.
The weird thing is, from the internet, the information only tells me abt the uses & makes of number 1 thru 7.
Underneath my bottle, the arrow point in between 7 & 8, out of 12! If there's only 1 thru 7 grading system, why is there up to 12 down there?
What number is my bottle anyway?
Another thing is, there have been news saying that number 7 plastic should be avoided coz polycarbonate is not safe but Tupperware products still uses number 7 or polycarbonate materials & claim it to be safe.
What do I do now? Is it ok to continue using Tupperware brands? Thank u so much.
