internal bone stimulator

hi everyone i have a question concerning my internal bone stimulator. i am 5 months post op and tuesday i went for a mri and they were concerned that the mri would ruin the battery in my stimulator after about 20 minutes they decided to do it. heres my question could it do anything to it? i don't know if this coincidence or if it did someting seems like since i had it done i am having burning pain in my lower back on the right side and feels like someone is jabbing a needle in there?not sure if its related or not anyone with this could you please help me out. thanks and god bless you all halfpint
 
During my first fusion Bone Growth Stimulator was inserted to support fusion.
I ABSOLUTELY Couldn't have MRI done during 11 month. Even when after 11 month stimulator was surgically removed, wires still were there and it was very hard to find a facility who would perform MRI scane on me.

One facility finally agreed to have this done, but it took almost 2 hours on that table: she would scan for 10 minutes, than off for 10 min and so on.
She explained to me that due to wires I still had left in me (permanently, unless I had another fusion, which I did and it was removed a 1 1/2 year later) they get very hot and it can burn sorrounding soft tissue and muscles. So that is why 10 min/off-on must be done. But I still i felt some burning, she had to stop many times because of this.

But with battery MRI was a big NO-NO:angel:
 
thank you so much for the information. when i got there they said they didn't know if they could do it or not because of the stimulator but after about 20 minutes they said well the doctor ordered it so we'll do it. they didn't take any breaks or nothing they just done it normal. it wasn't the surgeon who order it, it was his assistant. do you have any idea how long the burning will last and how can i find out if it did burn the tissue and muscle? i am very concerned about this and i will see him this Thursday but do you know of any sites that i can look this up on? again thank you so much and i hope your feeling well and getting better. god bless halfpint
