Hi all,
I've been experiencing unexplained symptoms for over a month now, and just wondered if anyone could help me out.
I'm 22, Male. No family history of disease.
Previously I have experienced Mild/Moderate Anxiety, facial seborrheic dermatitis, and mild/moderate unexplained intestinal problems such as excess gas and bloating after eating. I've also had unexplained mild tiredness, e.g. feeling sleepy in the afternoon. I've been experiencing these symptoms over the past few years.
About a month ago I experienced my first ever migraine (with aura). Ever since then, I have been experiencing symptoms such as intermittent dull aching muscles - legs, arms, neck. This sort of feels like I've had a big work out the day before, such as a very long walk, or done some unusual weight lifting. My feet also feel sore, like I've been on my feet walking all day. I've also been experiencing a very mild intermittent headache, and intermittent eye lid twitching. If I ever do go to the gym, it seems to take twice as long to recover - my muscles will ache for up to 72 hours whereas before it would go away 24 hours. I've also been feeling more generally tired than usual, although this is probably down to the muscles.
So to sum up the symptoms - Muscle tiredness, intermittently - Dull headache, intermittently - Eye lid twitches
I've recently had some tests, such as a brain MRI, which came back normal, as well as an examination by a neurologist who says everything is normal. I've also had regular blood work, which showed normal liver function and normal hemoglobin levels. I've had a celiac blood test, which came back negative.
I've seen my regular doctor and a neurologist, both think it is possibly down to stress, and probably nothing to worry about. I'm due to see my regular doctor tomorrow.
I feel that my symptoms are probably too mild to really be taken seriously, but its really getting on my nerves. The only thing I can think of, is if this is something related to anxiety - e.g. making myself tired by being constantly worried about illness, this seems unlikely though.
So what could this be? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Any tests which I can request from my doctor tomorrow would be useful.
Many thanks.
