I am a current high school Sophmore who has been accepted into the the Interlochen Arts Academy for the 2009-2010 school year (Junior year) as a voice major. However, the tuition for the academy is around $42,000 and my mother (who is a single parent) only makes around $30,000 a year (if not less). I was awarded a $21,000 scholarship but that still leaves me with $21,700 to pay, over half of our yearly income. There is nothing more that I would like to do than attend Interlochen in the fall. Music is my passion and I feel like Interlochen would give me the training that I need in order to pursue my passion for classical singing in the future.
Does ANYONE know of any place or organization where I can find money to attend this school in the fall? Any ideas/suggestions that anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone in advance.
P.S. I'm from the Chicago area (If that helps at all)
