Interesting Problem... Is It Not?

Ladies and Gentlemen, i would like to announce my latest problem (Palm related).

Occassionally when my Palm is plugged in it restarts my whole computer. Nice isnt it?

Well, i'm up for suggestions.

Firstly, a little box comes up in the bottom right hand corner saying it doesnt recognise the USB device for half a second, disappears then..... bonk

I cant work out what's causing it.... so a little help appreciated

Sounds like the USB driver on your computer is corrupt or needs updated.

Also, some progs like PTunes & Agendus will for various reasons attempt to connect to the computer when in the cradle. You may want to check the preferences of progs on your handheld to see if any of them have this feature. It is strange that something like this would cause the computer to crash.

John, i see where you're coming from, i'll look into it, thanks for the info.

Thingdriver... i'll delete PT and see what happens.
