I'm not sure what state you are in but in NY there is the College of Environmental Conservation and Preservation in Syracuse. Excellent school. I do know a guy, he's 26 and is a wildlife specialist. He really enjoys his job cause he's outside most of the time. He lives in downstate NY.

I remember last yr he had to give a talk about birds and airplanes after that plane went into the Hudson River from hitting a flock of birds. He said it was interesting. The course work in school isn't too bad, especially if it's something your interested in.

My other friends father, you can google his name, GeorgeMattfeld, worked for EPA, he traveled all over the US keeping census on fish in certain bodies of water. He wrote a book a long time ago to.

Good luck! You should def. do it!

Im 19 and graduated highschool in 2008. I currently don't have a job and really don't have much to show for myself since i have been out of school. I do need to go to college but I have seen absolutely nothing that i have been interested in as far as a trade or education in something goes. I do love being outdoors and outdoor activites like fishing. Does anybody work or know of anybody that has worked for a state fish and wildlife service? Id like to get some information on how to go about getting education for a career like this and how good of a career it would be. Im not sure what category this would go in.
I live in kentucky.
