Intel Science Talent Search... Siemens... Other Science Competitions...?

Hey everyone! Okay, so basically I want to enter in these competitions next year through my school. I'm bright and a fast-learner, but the winners always seem to talk about these complex formulas and other information that I've never even heard about. I really want to learn, but I feel like everything is at a college-level. How can I compete against that?
 
i was a semifinalist for siemens last year and im only a sophmore
so u can do it :)
it is sorta college level stuff, but if u study well and like science u should be fine. ask your teachers/mentors for help if u need it
