So I just switched to State Farm insurance and I am now paying $40 a month for my 848. I am a high risk, 21 year old driver with accidents and speeding tickets and they were able to get me down to $40 a month for FULL coverage! I needed to share this with everyone who is paying WAY too much for their insurance. I am not trying to scam anyone here, I am trying to look out for my fellow riders.

If youre interested, please call 1-619-424-3956. They are located in San Diego but will insure anyone in the US. Please ask for "Jamie" and tell her that "Mark" sent you and she will run her 'special' numbers for you.

Any questions please PM me or email me at [email protected]

I hope this helps.

FWIW, my wife and I are on State Farm for everything (home, cars, bike, umbrella), are not in a high risk category, and have recently had a very distressing experience w/ State Farm. Arlington County was cleaning out the sewers in our old neighborhood a few months back, and didn't bother to put up signs warning people to move their cars. When they hooked the mega pump up to sewer's manhole cover & flipped the switch, a massive amount of rocks, sand, sticks, dead squirrels, etc. was forced, under high pressure, out of the sewer opening and effectively sand blasted my wife's beautiful, < 1 year old VW R32 (limited, numbered edition uber GTI, for the uninitiated). State Farm massively low-balled the repair estimate (refusing to come up with even 1/4 of what any decent local body shop is asking for the repair, DESPITE assurances from the county that they would pay (reimburse) in full. We ended up having to plead with the county to pay us directly for the repairs. As soon as we can, we're dropping all of our coverage with State Farm, and looking for a carrier that not only charges reasonable rates, but actually gives you more than Very Expensive Paper and excuses for your monthly premiums. Caveat Emptor, and steer clear of State Farm.

+1 state farm. i have a cleanish record and pay 280 on the 848 and 215 on the F800st. they have impecablly professional claims deptartments and have always been responsive and communicate all the important info during claims.

Geico has given me lower quotes than State Farm could, and I used to be with State Farm. State Farm low-balled my RC-51 coverage after incident and put me in a bind. State Farm also dropped me after the incident and wouldn't insure my car anymore.

F%^& State Farm! (sorry BK556) Maybe in your neck of the woods its a different story (but I did notice you were in Cali, so...)

Check Geico online and see what they quote you...

If you have the chance or opportunity to use USAA for insurance, use them for everything except motorcycle. I have been with State Farm for insurance since I was 16. 12 years... They have been great!!!

However, when I got married, my wife had USAA. I called them up and they more than beat every policy I had with State Farm. (renters, auto, ect...) There motorcycle insurance is farmed out to Progressive. yearly quote was over $6000!!! State farm yearly for me is currently approx $1200. I am not high risk, just live in a high risk area! Dallas/Ft. Worth sucks...

State Farm goes by counties and engine size. So it doesn't matter if it's a Harley or a Duc or a Suzuki. All same!

I have the best of both worlds on insurance!

I refinanced my 848 with State Farm Bank because they got my interest down to 5.39% and gave me free GAP insurance and free disability insurance for the loan!

The lowest the Duc shop could get me was 9.9% which was 1% above the minimum they were offering at the time!

It sucks you had a bad experience with State Farm. I know it isn't the norm for them though.
