I'm 18 and i currently drive a 1986 ford Aerostar and I'm still on my parents car insurance as a second driver of the van (its legally in my moms name). however i am currently looking to buy a 78 Lincoln continental. i was just wondering how the insurance would change if we were to take the van off and replace it with the Lincoln. i read somewhere that the heavier the car is, the cheaper it is on insurance, and the Lincoln is definitely heavier. also we currently have allstate and i would be putting the Lincoln in my moms name and me be listed as a secondary driver. thanks
