I'm looking for instructions on how to sew a band of approximately 3" of coordinating fabric to store purchased drapes. I've seen this done on the bottom of drapes but am having difficulty finding instructions for down the side of the drapes. Also... is weight of the coordinating fabric an issue and that's why you normally see it added to the bottom? I like the idea but think doing it on the bottom is going to be too modern of a look for my room. Thanks to whoever can help and happy holidays!
