...ALL marriage? ...and since we're in the mood for preventing people from doing whatever they want to do, let's make some other changes.
From now on it will be illegal to:
Choose your own health insurance company. Everyone must buy insurance from the government.
Vote if you're a woman...just like it's been for hundreds of years in many different countries before suffrage was granted.
Own a vehicle if you're a democrat.
Own a house if you're a republican.

It's fine if your church prohibits gay marriage or if you find homosexuality to be disgusting, but to say that the U.S. government should ban gay marriage is appalling because we are not treating people equally in the eyes of the law. The only way to prevent gays from marrying and still support equality would be to ban ALL marriage (hetero- and homosexual marriage).
