Installing bluetooth on my computer?

Your PC most likely doesnt even have the bluetooth hardware installed! Secondly, there is no point in bluetooth if you dont have any bluetooth devices to begin with. Thirdly, bluetooth is about the poorest method of connecting to a computer and last but not least, if you are thinking you can connect your bluetooth phone, dont be surprised if your phone carrier doesnt have bluetooth file sharing disabled to begin with. They block file transfers because they make money when peep have to send files through the internet. If you want to proceed, get a bluetooth usb dongle.

I have a Gateway M-6750 with Vista Home Premium from 07. It has a button to activate the Bluetooth by holding the Fn buttong then the F6 button but it needs to be installed first and that's my problem. I can't find it anywhere on my computer. I've looked under control panel and hardware installations and under help but still can't find it and I would like to upload my contacts from my HTC Touch Diamond to my computer for back-up. I even tried the Infared Beam but I can't figure that out either. Can somebody please help, hopefully in detail.

its only an on/off switch for a Bluetooth device that's plugged into the usb port, you will have to buy one yourself, i have complained about this btw to computer manufacturers describing their comps have a Bluetooth installed when its not
