Installing an Alarm

Hi all.Has any one installed an alarm?Just wondering a good spot to place it.Picked up a gorilla at a bike show.Any advice would be great.Thanks

I have a gorilla still in the box. My power commander and brake light modulator are both under my seat so I may need to find an alternate location.

Did you get the 2way paging system?

GOT it installed, close to 2 hours..had to dust all around as i dismanteled. lol it fit perfect in the side cover right side.and no pager..7007 model guess just the basic.thanks

I was looking at this alarm. Did it take that long to install or was most of it dusting and dismantling?

Yeah most of it was that...The actual install is rather quick.I took off the right cover,seat,velcro'ed the alarm inside the cover hooked up to battery,+ & - and pluged into alarm. I called the dealer first to get a price...he said 1 hour and 3/4 @ 99.00 an hour..go figure

No alarm, no chain - and I find myself drawn to park in the less desirable parts of town!
