I own a 2010 Ford Escape Limited with the factory navigation system and the "premium sound system." This includes a very weak subwoofer/amplifier combination that is located in the passenger-side cargo panel. I just purchased a JL Audio 500/1v2 amplifier and an AudioControl LC6i factory integration unit to go with my 12" JL Audio W7. My question is where the ideal installation spot would be for the LC6i integration unit? Couldn't I utilize the signal wires attached to the factory subwoofer and re-route them to the integration unit (for both the signal, power, and turn-on leads)? I'm clueless as I have not removed the panel to look at factory setup. I'm just assuming that there should be something useable (as opposed to installing this unit near the head unit underneath the dash). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
