I have a 1999 Chevrolet Tracker and I'm trying to install a new stereo. It's been a major headache. I have the electrical diagram for it, but I still can't get this going. After getting the entire sound system in, there are some wires left over from the old head unit. and sadly the way they are wired is crucial. There is a red and yellow wire, that if it is grounded it will turn on the Dash lights (speedometer ect.) but that way it will bypass the Ambient light sensor. but when you do that you blow the fuse to all the running lights. if you leave it on nothing the running lights will work, but dash lights wont. i figured it might just need a resistor but I cant get it working. I need some serious help. Has anyone done this before?
