Install app issue on curve

Hi everyboddy

First of all I am newbee, the BB curve from rogers is my first BB

I m trying to install softs and I did look at your treads but no luck:

My version of Blackberry desktop manager is 4.2.2.14 and the OS of my blackberry is 4.2.2.89 (platform 2.4.0.42) for the blackberry curve 8300

So i beleive that these versions are the current one?

So why i m still getting the following message when i click on the alx file using loader app?

No addition applications designed for your device were found

And, yes the .cod file are in the same folder too...

This is a common problem. It is indicative of trying to install 3rd Party Apps and Themes to the BB, without having first installed the Current Handheld Core Applications and OS Software package onto the PC. The Applications Loader feature of Desktop manager requires this to operate. You have to download and then execute the Package to your PC. You can find the package by following the links in this thread, BlackBerry Desktop and Device Software Download Sites.

Thanks to both of you for your prompt response

I did everything already that s why i dont understund.
i reboot , uninstall, reinstall etc manytimes, i got the lastest version of DM and my os via rogers.. i am lost.
