i reformatted my grandma's laptop and installed all the necessary drivers. but when i tried to connect the laptop to our wireless router with a passphrase, i am receiving this error:
"The network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your
network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii characters or
10 or 26 hexadecimal characters."
i am not experiencing this problem using my other laptops. i have read that i have to update the wireless lan driver with WPA compatibility, so i downloaded and updated driver. my problem is, after updating the driver, my grandma's newly reformatted laptop receives a blue screen error and i can no longer use the windows properly. the laptop restarts continuously. what should i do? i am sure that i have installed the correct driver but it seems that it's not compatible. please advice what to do. thanks
