insect bite

[Kong Ye De]

I have a friend who is in the ICU from an insect bite on his ankle. His whole leg got swollen up from it. He is being closely monitored and could have died if not taken care of when it was!!!
I'm so freaked out and am crying and stuff.
I'm wondering if anyone else knows of someone who had this happen. Did they heal well?
Last I heard was that the doctors were going to cut away some of the flesh in his leg that had died from the bite.
And what was the aftermath? What do you do for care?
I think I'm just worried.

it could be from a brown recluse spider. My friend had this happen to him and while he's fine now, it was quite an ordeal in the hospital and they had to debride skin from his groin area where the bite was.
YUK!!!
after that I cleaned my house. They like to hide in dark cluttered spaces.

I found out today that they are starting to get worried because they can't get the infection fought off!!!
He is STILL in intensive care. Does anyone know anyone who has gone through this and what they did for it?
Any replies will be greatly appreciated. I'm so worried.

I got the relief of my life tonight. I found out that the infection is going away and he will be getting taken out of the ICU! Thank God.
