so on any ps3 game i play, i suffer severe amounts of lag. i mainly play MW2, but it applies for all call of duty games, and fifa and such. i moved my ps3 from the living room to my room, and my router is situated in my room, so now i get 100% signal strength, and can also play through a wired connection, but i still can only manage to get 1 red bar, maybe 2 if im incredibly lucky. 2 of my friends have EXACTLY the same router, ISP, and set up, and they both get 4 bars. im with bigpond, i get 200GB ADSL2+ a month, and my internet on computer/ipod etc is fast. ive turned off my computer, ipod, and all of that, and ive also tried assigning a static IP, and nothing has changed. i have NAT type 2, even when i use an ethernet cable. why do i lag, but my friends get perfect connection?
