Does anyone know why this film has takne so long to reach the cinema? I saw the trailer months ago at the cinema.

I have no idea, but I have a copy of the book bought over three years ago, with MAJOR MOVIE COMING SOON!! on the cover, and I remember seeing a trailer for it when I went to see The Golden Compass, which must be a year ago now?
Inkheart is a fab book, I can't wait for the film.

Warner Bros pissed all over us by refusing to release Harry Potter on the original dates. A completely shitty and nasty thing to do on their part.
I think the first book is absolutely excellent. I really liked it. BUt it's very much a book about books, and I'm intrigued to see how that will translate into a film.
The second book (Inkspell) I found a bit harder to get into, got a bit bogged down in it and haven't finished it yet. I might start again after I've finished the one I'm reading now. I haven't got Inkdeath (the third book) yet, I'm waiting for it to come out in paperback.
