Injured foot what exercise can i do when im waiting for it to heal?

Iv hurt a muscle in my foot and cannot run as its very painful and i want it to heal?
Im giving up ciggeretes and with no running to keep me occupied im snacking more. Are there any exercises i can do that are effective with out hurting my foot, im finding it difficult to walk .
 
While in the process of healing, be sure to eat your fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water. You can massage where the pain is with some pain relieving massage oil. I personally use RealHeal Massage Oil for $27.50. Good luck.
 
Anything that is going to put a strain on your foot while it's trying to heal isn't a good idea, so I'm not sure if there's many aerobic exercises you can do for now. You could concentrate on toning your body by doing things in a sitting in a chair/on the floor or by laying down. Doing small continuous reps or pulsing will get your heart working and burn calories rather than build muscle. Things like sit ups, leg raises, anything with weights etc. When you are able to start running again, your core and upper body strength will be fantastic!

You could also try swimming and see if it hurts because it's a non-impact sport, just be careful when you flex your foot. You could even try to master the butterfly stroke because then your arms and torso will be doing the hard work!!
