Your partner doesn't have an injunction he has police bail.

This will stay in place until the first hearing at court when his solicitor will make representation before the magistrates.

If he doesn't have a history of domestic violence then the bail could be dropped , but you may need to do a retraction statement to get the conditions lifted.

If he has a history or there has been an escalation in domestic incidents over the last few months then his bail may be left in place.

If your partner on his first hearing pleads not guilty to the offence then you may be required to attend court, regardless of whether you do a retraction statement or not, and you would be served a formal summons to attend court if necessary.

There seems to be a general misconception that the police and CPS are out to smash famillies to bits by continuing through to trial on some cases when the complainant wishes to forget it. But its the violence that smashes a family apart and if the perpatrators won't accept their part, then the courts are used to educate them that domestic abuse is NOT acceptable!
