injunction against a violent neighbour?

how do i go about seeking an injunction... my neighbour assaulted me on monday and was arrested and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.. the police kept him for 18 hours as he has previous arrests for this, but he was released due to their being not enough evidence apparently.....he also admitted to threatening to smash up my house..with myself and my kids inside.... his last comment to me as he went into his house today was''see what happens now bitch ''.. this started over my going to speak to him over his 15 yr olddaughter bullying 8 and 6year olds.... and i wasnt offensive when i approached him...... im worried he will do something nasty..i have an 18 yr old, and i know this man wont come near when they are around..... but he threatened my 9 yr old verbally and came in the street waving a bat..... now i even have social services coming to see me as my child was involved...... any advice plz...legal advice only.. this man is a menace
