infrared with other nokias

i have a nokia 6220, i am able to send anything but games and apps via infrared to my friends with a siemens.

however when i try to send tones/image/3gps to nokia with infrared (ie 3200, 3205, 5140, 7250) they are not able to receive them. the infrared seems to be mostly on the top but i cannot send to them still.

help!!
 
First of all, you can't send games and apps via infrared. Secondly, you can't send games to other brands of phones.
 
u noticed most of the phones u mentioned are older than ur 6220? Maybe that could be the reason? I used to have the same problem with u, i had the 3200 but couldn't send it to other phones (ed.7250,7210) and i later found out that i could only send it to newer phones,... i don't know why u can't send it to 5140 though,.... 5140 is newer than 6220..
 
yea yea i know u can't send apps and games there is no send function.

.. i think i was suppose to say that my friends are able to activate their IR but when i try to send anything to them they are not able to receive.. all of them do not have send function on their on phones to send images/tones/clips nor can they attach tones to mms

proli mite be sumthing to do incapability with older models, dunno
