Hey there everyone. I'd like to write a semi-biography about Herophilius however information about him is scarce. What I do know is:

The first school of anatomy was found later in the third century B.C. by Herophilius of Chalcedon, who encouraged his students to dissect human bodies. Herophilius is credited both with determining that the brain controls the nervous system and with distinguishing between voluntary and involuntary nerves.

He was also a physician to Alexander the Great and given criminals to dissect alive to learn more about anatomy.

I seem to find only small blurbs about him here and there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
