Hi! Can anyone give me some information about Japan, I am planning a trip for the upcoming month and need a lot of help! I will be there for about a week, it's not much time but I want to sightsee.
First of all, I want to get a haircut there, would this be possible or would there be problems with the language barrier? (I know quite little, so I may not be able to specify just how I wanted it). Would showing a picture help? And about how much is a haircut there?
I also am not sure about what transportation will be best, I was considering getting a rental car or using a bus or train (or shinkansen). I will be researching this more but wondered if anyone knows from experience maybe what is best.
As for tourist sites, what are some musts? And costs, if any.
I am trying to estimate how much I'll spend so what would be the cost of food?
There are so many questions, so answers to any will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you! I wanted to travel short distances, but I think I will eventually go from Tokyo to Shizuoka prefecture to Kyoto to Osaka.
