My fiance is HOH (partially Deaf). He wasn't born with it, caught a sickness at 7 mos old & that sickness caused him to become mentally incompetent / HOH. He has a cochlear, can hear kind of well, can somewhat read lips & can kind of be understood by other hearing people. He has no problem writing down what he says, so others can understand him. We plan to marry after I get sent to whatever base is in the future, I still have a lot of work to do to get to that point. I'd like to know what the military policy is about spouses that have such disabilities though. For future reference.
My plan is to join the USMC, I'm already set, passed the ASVAB, just have a few minor things to sort out.
