My boyfriend and I have sex regularly and we always use a condom, but I'm just twenty, we're not married, and I don't want to get pregnant until we are. Should I take birth control pills just in case? I'm thinking yes, but I don't know a whole lot about the pill, other than that it helps regulate the period as well. How much does it cost? Is it available over the counter or do I have to get a prescription? How long do I have to take it before it becomes effective? How effective is it? Any and all information is welcome.
